Course overview:
The course provides an introduction to key concepts, methods and topics in epidemiology, as well as some of the statistical methods required to be able to appreciate and appraise epidemiological research. The course focuses on applied aspects of epidemiology in an interactive environment conducive to adult learning and integrating epidemiologic principles with the other streams in public health.

- Design epidemiological studies, based on the strengths and weaknesses of different epidemiological methods, to answer questions of public health practice.
